Após renunciar a faculdade para ajudar a gerir os negócios da família, eu tinha desistido da ideia de uma vida diferente e finalmente fiz as pazes com algo um pouco mais simples.
Isto é , até Leilani Hart aparecer.
Não há nada simples sobre sobre a herdeira do hotel, e no minuto em que nossos olhos se encontram, eu sei que minha existência despreocupada é uma coisa do passado. Ela tem grandes ideias para nossa cidade adormecida e o motel que planeja transformar em uma destinação de spa para os ricos e famosos.

Mas, minha cidade vem em primeiro lugar. Ou, pelo menos, é o que eu digo a mim mesmo. Infelizmente, meu coração e minha cabeça não parecem concordar... e em breve, não sei onde está minha lealdade. Eu nunca acreditei em amor, mas por ela, eu só poderia estar disposto a arriscar tudo.
Mesmo que isso signifique me apaixonar .... pelo inimigo.

From our first meeting, we’re like fire and ice and I can’t help but wonder what it would be like to pin her down and melt some of those frigid layers right off.
But, my town comes first. Or, at least, that’s what I keep telling myself. Unfortunately, my heart and head don’t seem to agree and soon, I don’t know where my loyalties lie. I’ve never believed in love, but for her, I just might be willing to risk it all.
Even if it means falling... for the enemy.
