The universe  is conspiring against Ava Breevort. As if flying back to Phoenix to bury a childhood friend wasn't hell enough, a cloud of volcanic ash traveling from overseas delayed her flight back home to Boston. Her last ditch attempt to salvage the trip was thwarted by an arrogant Scotsman, Caleb Scott, who steals a first class seat out from under her. Then over the course of their journey home, their antagonism somehow lands them in bed for the steamiest layover Ava's ever had. And that's all it was--until Caleb shows up on her doorstep.

When pure chance pulls Ava back into Caleb's orbit, he proposes they enjoy their physical connection while he's stranded in Boston. Ava agrees, knowing her heart's in no danger since a) she barely likes Caleb and b) his existence in her life is temporary. Not long thereafter Ava realizes she's made a terrible error because as it turns out Caleb Scott isn't quite so unlikeable after all. When his stay in Boston becomes permanent, Ava must decide whether to fight her feelings for him or give into them. But even if she does decide to risk her heart on Caleb, there is no guarantee her stubborn Scot will want to risk his heart on her...

 Eu sou uma fã dos livros da Samantha Young , mas devo dizer que Fight or Flight é o livro que eu menos gostei dela . Não é um livro ruim,  mas também não atingiu minhas expectativas. É um livro de amor e ódio entre os protagonistas  e teve algumas partes que eu gostei e outras nem tanto .

 Ava conhece   Caleb  em um aeroporto onde ambos estão em um voô para Boston e claro a uma animosidade entre eles. Caleb é rude , grosseiro e definitivamente um babaca . Mas isso não impede Ava de se sentir atraída por esse belo babaca , o que a leva ir para cama com ele . Nada de errado nisso já que ela não planeja não ver ele nunca mais assim que o avião aterrisar . Só que  parece que o destino tem outros planos para eles e eles se encontram novamente, e parecem não conseguir manter a atração deles por muito tempo .

Eu acho que a maior razão para que eu não  tenha gostado tanto desse livro quanto eu gostaria tem um nome : Caleb . Certas atitudes desse personagem me irritaram profundamente e eu demorei a simpatizar com ele e mesmo assim quando eu deixei de odiar ele ainda não foi o suficiente para me fazer amar essa história  como os livros anteriores dessa autora . No entanto devo dizer que amei a relação de Ava e sua melhor amiga e espero que futuramente ela ganhe sua própria história .

I'm a fan of Samantha Young's books, but I must say that Fight or Flight is the book I least liked about it. Not a bad book, but it also didn't meet my expectations.It is a book of love and hate between the protagonists and had some parts that I liked and others not so much.

Ava meets Caleb at an airport where both are in a flight to Boston and of course an animosity between them. Caleb is rude and definitely an asshole.But that does not stop Ava from being attracted to this handsome asshole, which makes her go to bed with him. Nothing wrong with that since she does not plan to see him ever again as soon as the plane lands.Only it seems that fate has other plans for them and they meet again, and they seem to be unable to maintain their attraction for long.

I think the biggest reason I didn't like this book as much as I would have a name: Caleb.Certain attitudes of this character deeply irritated me and I delayed to sympathize with him and even so when I stopped hating he still wasn't enough to make me love this story like the author's previous books.However I must say that I loved Ava's relationship and her best friend and I hope that in the future she will win her own story.
