Com visões de criaturas estranhas, uma obsessão em criar cartolas até as mãos sangrarem e uma atração inexplicável por seu vizinho casado, Matt, ela sente que está ficando louca.

 Quando suas ilusões de duendes gêmeos, pinguins cantantes e renas sensuais começam a se transformar em alucinações, sua família sente que não tem escolha a não ser encontrar sua ajuda.

A terapeuta dela é a esposa de Matt, Jessica Winters, alguém que Alice sente em seu intestino em que não deveria confiar.  Mas ele mais Alice perde seu toque na realidade, mais seus pais se voltam para Jessica.

 Em uma noite, Alice perde tudo, aterrando-a em um manicômio, onde descobre que Jessica não é quem ela parece.  À medida que a mente de Alice se quebra, suas visões parecem mais lembranças.

Her therapist is Matt’s wife, Jessica Winters, someone Alice feels in her gut she shouldn’t trust. But he more Alice loses her touch on reality, the more her parents turn to Jessica.
In one night, Alice loses everything, landing her in an insane asylum where she learns Jessica is not at all who she seems. As Alice’s mind cracks further, her visions feel more like memories. 

She’s in a fight for her life against the mad ruler of the institution. Except who will believe her? She’s the insane one, the one who gets visits by ghosts of holiday icons.
