You don’t know me.You think you do, but you don’t.The only thing you know is my name, and even that’s a lie.I’m king of Boston, lord of criminals, ruler of an underworld empire. Or am I?Only one thing’s for sure: I operate alone.Until I cross paths with a brazen little thief who sets my whole kingdom on fire.Just as two wrongs don’t make a right, two villains don’t belong together. Especially since she’s the daughter of my most deadly enemy.Taking her would start a war.Keeping her would be suicide.Making her mine would break every code of honor and defy all common sense. Then again, where’s the fun in following the rules?

Resenha

Cruel Paradise is the second book in the Beautifully cruel series and I loved that book, I thought it was as good as the first book in the series. I would say that for you to read this book it would be ideal to read the first book first to better understand some things.

Here we have the story of Killian and Jules two great characters from those that I knew I would love right on the first page. Both are fantastic characters, Killian is that protective alpha male, possessive but also romantic and honest. Jules is far from being a silly and weak heroine on the contrary she is ferocious, sarcastic, intelligent. I loved the sexual tension, games and conversations between these two characters throughout the story.

Another positive point of the story is the relationship between Jules and her friends, it was a lot of fun to see the relationship between them and certainly some dialogues between these three women made me laugh throughout the book. It was also good to see the relationship between brothers between Killian and Liam, I like the camaraderie between them.

This story did not have the element of surprise for me, as I read the previous book and knew Killian's "secret", the mystery around it was not a shock to me, but I laughed at Jules' theories.

The author did a fantastic job with this story, so once I started reading I couldn't stop. The story is fun, romantic, suspense all in the right measure. I just think the ending was a little rushed, but aside from that detail I loved this story.
