Eu tinha 21 anos quando conheci o sarcástico astro do rock australiano que conquistou o mundo com seu charme espirituoso.

 Vinte e dois anos quando escrevi um artigo viral no tablóide sobre seu colega de banda para pagar o remédio de que precisava para o resto da vida.

 Vinte e três anos quando percebi que meu emprego dos sonhos na Califórnia estava destruindo todas as morais nas quais fui criada para acreditar.

 Vinte e quatro quando aceitei que talvez tivesse que desistir de meus sonhos da costa oeste para voltar para casa e admitir a derrota.

 E vinte e cinco quando o vocalista do Violet Wonders volta à minha vida com uma oferta que seria estúpido se recusasse.

 Quando ele me pede em casamento, acho uma piada cruel se vingar de tudo que fiz com sua banda.

 Mas uma certidão de casamento assinada nos dá benefícios.  Isto tira a pressão de suas costas e eu consigo seguro saúde e um lugar para ficar.

Mas o mundo não conhece o verdadeiro Garrick Matthews como eu, e é impossível não se apaixonar pelo homem por trás da farsa.  Concordamos em ficar juntos por dois anos antes de seguirmos caminhos separados e nunca olharmos para trás.
