Sinopse/Synopis 

Sempre havia sussurros sobre minha colega de quarto na Academia Hillcrest.

Os mais ricos dos ricos mandavam seus filhos para o colégio interno, e Brooke Bennett estava no topo, embora eu nunca soubesse bem por quê. Ela era divertida e extrovertida, mas ela mantinha silêncio sobre sua família. As únicas coisas que ela me mostrou foram fotos de seus irmãos.

Então eu o conheci.

Ele veio para a nossa escola com o pai deles e foi aí que eu soube que tipo de família a Brooke veio. Eles eram mafiosos e o irmão mais velho de Brooke estava morto. O pai dela disse acidente, mas Brooke disse assassinato.

Três meses depois, seu pai morreu e Kai se tornou o chefe da Família Bennett. Brooke deixou Hillcrest para sempre, e essa foi a última vez que a vi.

Then I met him. 

He came to our school with their father, and that’s when I learned what kind of family Brooke came from. They were mafia, and Brooke’s oldest brother was dead. Her father said accident, but Brooke said murder. 

Three months later, her father died, and Kai became the head of the Bennett Family. Brooke left Hillcrest for good, and that was the last time I saw her. 

Fourteen years later, I’m staring at her face on the television. Brooke is missing. 

Two days later, Kai Bennett kidnaps me.
